The album also hit the Top Ten on several sites, including ZMR, and scored over 2.5M downloads via Song Alethea. In addition, the tracks “New Skies” and “Dharma” have earned approximately 1M views on Facebook, and Pandora’s Anaya Music station has increased its listenership significantly.

Eternity also received a great deal of critical acclaim. New Age music writer Michael Diamond shared, “While I have heard and enjoyed Anaya’s previous keyboard-based albums, her new release, Eternity, in collaboration with a live symphony orchestra, brings out the richness and dimension of her stirring compositions, taking her music to another level altogether. Anaya’s desire to elevate the human spirit is deeply felt in every note of this inspired recording.”

Speaking of her inspiration and process, Anaya says, “I make music to fulfill a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity and balance. It has been an amazing journey of transcendence with and through musical arts. The magic of music and the profound feelings of love are a divine instrument of perfection to give re-birth to our soul. Music is the sound of Light. Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.”

Over the course of her career, which includes the more recent projects Devotion (2014) and Aligned in the Universe (2013), Anaya has passionately expressed her spirituality and the influence of her cultural roots through music, art and poetry. Her style captures the soothing, inspiring and energizing essence of Brazilian music, delivering a dynamic synthesis of new age, electronic and melodic trance influences and textures. She began creating her spirit/mind/heart based masterworks to facilitate relaxation and meditation, and is emerging as a timeless composer devoted to elevating the human spirit through music.

An absolute must for your collection.  Sometimes it’s really nice to be taken away to a far off land of beauty peace and tranquillity, and through this wonderful album by Anaya we can do just that. This is one of those stunning albums that are as rare as rain in Cyprus!

We start with a complete flourish on the opening piece called Dharma, using the talents and skills of the Prague Symphony Orchestra we are gifted a composition that in parts reminded me in style, of the great composer Ralph Vaughn Williams and The Lark Ascending. The string section really emphasised that mood for me, but the piece overall was so beautiful, it made the perfect start to the release.

Natural sounds of water start the next piece called New Skies and the tremulous sounds of the strings create a real vista of wonderment for us. Anaya as a keyboardist is outstanding, but combing her skills with the orchestra has brought us something truly magnificent. This trembling opus of a fresh new sky is vast, and gives us the listener plenty of room to explore the music in.

Eternity is a real fresh and picturesque album of great quality, just listen to Cosmos, and I am sure you will agree, this is one very striking arrangement, there is a slight quality of mournfulness, but that aged sound, manifests an expansive backdrop of musical genius for us to wander in. The percussion also adds a little flavour here as well.

For Love is up next, and a deep sense of true passion can be felt here. Love, one of the hardest of all emotions to deal with, is explored in a sublime and charming manner by Anaya, through the tones of this track, one can really feel the tenderness that went into creating this composition, the strings here really come into their own, and with the artists flowing talents, manifests for us something unconditionally beautiful.

The shortest piece off the album, at just less than three minutes long, is the keyboard based track Loves River. This for me is one of the cleverest compositions on the release, the strings, bass and keyboards almost place us on a boat trip of love down a river, in its movement and structure, I have a feeling that this maybe one of those tracks that you will not be able to resist playing again and again and again dear reader.

The longest offering on Anaya’s new album Eternity, at well over six and a half minutes, is our dear mother Gaia. I found this, our penultimate composition, very deeply moving and emotional, the floating keyboards and heart rendering string sections were so very moving. Anaya has also built in a little space feel to the track, as well as combining it with the sounds of birds, which gives us the eager listener, the overall feel of our planet in its entirety, our dear Gaia, our mother. Here is a track that just about delivers all aspects of mother earth to us, in a melodious opus of supreme quality. The orchestra and Anaya’s ability to create a musical symbiosis here is simply divine.

So we finish with the lavish and sweeping mood of the final piece called, Once in Time, when I first heard this I was reminded of the sound track work that composer Michael Hoppe creates. Anaya has left her best to last, and this is a composition that fashions magic, constructs a whole new musical dimension, and has been crafted with such a level of care and attention to detail, whilst retaining and cultivating that little childlike enchantment within us all.

Eternity is one of those albums that I would class as simply beautiful, the emotional intensity is there, all of the compositions have all been lovingly manifested for us to enjoy, and the added structure of the Symphony Orchestra of Prague, was a stroke of pure genius that has finally brought into our lives, one of the most professional and captivating releases I have heard for a long time, this is an absolute must for your collection.

My plans-
developments and successes. What motivates me to continue bringing my music to the world is to elevate human spirit through music and beauty and to touch the human heart.

My last album ‘Eternity’ has been received by everyone with great appreciation and received wonderful reviews, airplay and a top ten chart position at ZMR. I am very grateful and I thank you all for your support!

I have plans for 2017 and 2018 to have my music performed in the USA by various Symphony Orchestras and I will keep you posted on the development of these concerts.

Brazilian-born composer and vocalist, Anaya, has previously recorded several albums of new age music. Having long dreamed of recording alongside a live symphony orchestra, her dream eventually came to fruition on her latest album, titled Eternity, where she is joined by the lovely arrangements of the Prague Live Symphony Orchestra. Comprised of seven compositions spanning nearly thirty-three minutes, all but two pieces (“For Love” and “Once in Time”) were co-composed and arranged with Steve Salani.
“Dharma” opens the album with a majestic orchestral arrangement of strings, woodwinds and brass instruments. Possessing a distinctively cinematic quality, the piece immediately brings to mind that of a fairytale movie. “New Skies” ensues with the sound of running water, perhaps from a stream or river, and is easily my favorite composition herein. Bearing subtle resemblances to the music of both Deuter and Kitaro, the piece is led by a stringed-instrument with a melody that possesses an East Asian flavor. Hazy piano droplets are interspersed among ethereal synthesized chords like balmy mists rising up from a spring, bringing images to mind of a beautifully serene Japanese garden. “Cosmos” follows next with a symphonic arrangement that unfolds in a procession-like manner, where it’s accompanied by the sound of a light snare, along with bells, chimes and tribal-esque percussion that builds towards the end. The next piece, “For Love”, is reminiscent of a romantic novel or period film, with its tenderly warm and sentimental quality. It is followed by the more fantasy-like “Love’s River”, which is introduced by a buoyant keyboard melody. A dreamily waltzing piece that dances and sways throughout, it mimics the motion of sailing along a river, while also bringing to mind that of watching a decades-old stage performance. Named for the living earth, “Gaia” follows with a blend of gently symphonic and environmental nature sounds that paint images of a paradisal landscape. Wrapping up the album is “Once in Time”, a sweepingly cinematic composition led by a full orchestra of string and brass instruments that eventually swell to a close.
While this album is based upon a theme of cosmic spirituality, it should be noted that the compositions herein are neither descriptive of meditation or space music. Rather, this is definitive new age neoclassical music that conveys images of epically visual and emotional scenes, as if musically narrating a movie. A simply delightful recording that will likely appeal to many fans of both new age and neoclassical music, Eternity is wrapped in the glowing of essence of beauty, peace and positivity!
Technology Meets Classical-New Age

Anaya Music and the latest release titled Eternity is all about collaboration. Anaya Music is Anaya, Tania Mara Botelho, Steve Salani and members of the Prague Symphony Orchestra.

I am one of the first to admit you cannot match the experience of being at a concert as to sitting and listening to CD. There are instances in my listening experiences inside the confines of my home that have elevated my spirit and given me positive energy and hope. Eternity turns out to be one of those instances. The parts from the orchestra are live however, so we get the best of both worlds. This is where technology and live off the floor music collide to explode into sights and sounds that will stir your soul.

What I found interesting was how the use of technology made this project come together. Over the oceans these artists added their parts and eventually it became a whole. With the help of many talented people and the sum of its parts scattered about the globe coming together through the advances of communication and modern recording, this became a musical entity. It truly is amazing how all of that works. It is even more of a celebration when it all meets to make the most beautiful and picturesque sounds and colors arriving through your speakers.

Anaya ends the liner notes by saying “Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.” That one thought and the vibrations it creates is the perfect lead in to this cinematic recording. The soundscapes shaped and molded are things of beauty and grace that can take your spirit to a higher plain. I do believe that is the intent of music like this. Enlightened spirits leading others down the path of light and love…it works well if you allow the music to transport you as the pressures of the world melt away.

The entire listening experience was so enjoyable and uplifting that I felt disappointed that it ended and it seemed to end much too soon. From where I sit that is the highest compliment I can pay to any artist.

Eternity is a blessing to all that will hear it so make sure you give it a few spins and find what I found inside the music.
Eternity álbum with artist profile, Álbum show and audio review by Steve and Chrissie from OneWorldMusic the greatest radio station across Europe.
Eternity by AnayaMusic is the number #1 for December chart in the OneWorldMusic from UK and many other countries. The OWM is the biggest radio statin rght accross Europe, including many prizes for artist achevement.
While I have enjoyed Anaya’s previous keyboard-based albums, her new release, Eternity, in collaboration with a live symphony orchestra, brings out the richness and dimension of her stirring compositions, taking the music to another level all together. Anaya’s desire to elevate the human spirit is deeply felt in every note of this inspired recording.
In writing about Anaya’s last release, Fifth Essence, I shared a lot about her fascinating background in both music and academia, so readers who may be interested can refer to that feature article for details. But briefly, music has been an important part of Anaya’s life from an early age in her native Brazil, a country known for its music. Her interest in piano, keyboards, guitar, and singing has been a thread that has woven through Anaya’s life, although her focus has often shifted between this and academic pursuits where she went on to earn doctoral and post-doctoral degrees in Information Studies. She also was the director of the Applied Social Studies department at the University of Brasilia and did work in her field for the United Nations.
These brief highlights barely scratch the surface of Anaya’s accomplishments. However her education also extends beyond the traditional into an extensive list of holistic health and metaphysical studies, which have in turn, played an important role in the healing direction her music has taken over the years. Reading a full account of her impressive and diverse career reveals an incredibly well rounded person with a passion for life, learning, and a desire to help others.
Anaya brings a universal and deeply spiritual perspective to her music, which she sees as a vehicle for healing and awakening consciousness; to fulfill a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity, and balance. In relation to her album, Eternity, she shares: “The essence of Love is Eternity. Love transcends time. Beyond memories of a beginning and fear of an end, our immortal soul symbolizes love and Eternal life. Music becomes a gateway to the realization and integration of our deepest feelings of love, grief, fear, joy, and peace. Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.” Anaya sees music as a global language, and as she shared in our interview: “I always search for the Sound that resonates with my soul. Music permeates the universe and integrates my world.”
While she has many albums to her credit, Anaya’s lifelong dream has been to record with a symphony orchestra. On Eternity, that dream has finally become a reality. To quote from her liner notes: “This unique production features a virtual collaboration and real time recording in cyberspace between Anaya in Brazil, a live symphony orchestra in Prague, and Steve Salani at Orchestra.net Studios in Los Angeles. The symphony orchestra combines members of the finest ensembles in Prague, including the Czech Philharmonic.” This is indeed a unique production that utilizes the latest in interactive technology in a way that would have been inconceivable not that long ago.

The opening track is entitled “Dharma,” a word derived from Eastern religion that means something along the lines of “adherence to Divine law or cosmic order.” This is quite appropriate in that Anaya is truly following her dharma in the heavenly uplifting music she creates and shares with the world. The piece begins with a sweet violin playing over a string section with a neo-classical feel. As it evolves, the sound of harp and flute add a celestial ambiance. There is a heartfelt warmth to the composition that makes for wonderful welcome into Anaya’s musical world.
The soothing sound of a babbling brook paired with subtle strings carries the listener along in its flow on track 2, “New Skies.” In the new age genre, I’m so used to synthesizers emulating the sound of strings and orchestral sounds, I had to remind myself that I was actually hearing the real thing, and not electronic instruments. In trying to describe the first half of track 3, “Cosmos,” the thought that come to mind is that the music creates a feeling of being held in the embrace of a loved one. It seems to envelop you, providing a sense of comfort and peace. About half way through, the sound of orchestral bells, percussion, and woodwinds add to the strings with a feeling of awakening like a warm Spring day with the earth thawing out and coming back to life.
On track 5, “Love’s River,” as on many of Anaya’s previous albums, the piano plays a primary role in creating the melody against a subtly symphonic background. In a tribute to the spirit of the Earth, a track called “Gaia” reflects a contrast between sounds that are ethereal and those that are more terrestrial, including chirping birds and natural elements, perhaps integrating the energies of Mother Earth and Father Sky. The album draws to a conclusion with a grand composition entitled “Once in Time.” Like time itself, the piece has an expansive quality that flows along, adding a sense of drama as it unfolds.
One word that came up for me many times while listening and thinking of how best to describe this music is “cinematic.” I could easily imagine any track on this album as being a film score. While that may evoke images of grandiose music, one of the things that I most appreciated about this recording is that the orchestra was often quite subtle, while being exquisitely expressive in its understatement. Another aspect that stood out to me in Anaya’s music is the sense of warmth and loving heart energy that comes through in every song. This is not something that can just be added to a composition like an ingredient in a recipe, but is a genuine quality that flows from the being of the composer and their attunement to the source of that love. This is certainly one of her strong points, both as a musician and a person. In this regard, I will leave the final words to Anaya as she describes, what in essence, is her dharma: “My path is to touch people’s soul through music as I connect to my own inner Being. It has been an amazing journey of transcendence with and through musical arts. The magic of music and the profound feelings of love are a divine instrument of perfection to give re-birth to our soul.”

Melodies of the soul!

Anaya weaves musical dreams with her wonderful productions and her latest album reinforces her power over the listener’s minds :-). Opening with “Dharma”, I knew I was in for an aural treat. I loved the violin’s performance in this, it’s delicate and played with such wonderful restraint. “New Skies” with its lovely ambient sounds sets the mood for deep meditation….the sounds of flowing water are eternally peaceful :-). “Cosmos” is a deep and hauntingly beautiful track ; the Creation is as one with this mellow and extremely well-composed track. The elements of percussion are delicately balanced with the other instruments to create a mural of lovely pastel shades. “Love’s River” is a smoothly-flowing track with the an gentle, sweet melody. The flute, cello and the strings with piano creates a web of wonderful sounds that lulls the mind to a sense of supreme well-being. I adored this track :-). “Once in Time” is a sweeping, majestic track with a brilliant string section and an almost sound-track like feel to it. I could imagine high, soaring mountains in this one! This album is to be heard many times to explore all its nuances and complexities, as I’m sure to be doing :-) :-) :-)

"Dear Anaya
"Having enjoyed Anaya's work in recent years on albums like "Aligned in the Universe", "Devotion" and then on "Fifth Essence", it is nice to enjoy her latest creation "Eternity", where she has explored new ground and created something rather special. Musically, unlike any of her earlier work. A beautiful collaboration of Anaya in Brazil, the symphony in Prague and Steve Salani in Los Angeles, with the the symphony orchestra comprising members from the finest ensembles in Prague. This sure comes across beautifully in the music. With superb orchestration and nice arrangements, Anaya's music is beautiful, coming from place of peace. She states it has been a dream come true. I am happy with the beautiful music this dreams has give us" - Arun Shenoy, GRAMMY nominated Producer and Composer.

Words don’t come easy
By Dominic D'Cruz
on September 28, 2016

This record has such a full sound! ‘Dharma’ has ambient textures that are very rich and the melody that’s playing over them is captivating! There are great arrangements on this record and among them is ‘Cosmos’ and ‘Loves River’ – I could actually feel all the degrees of love in the flow! ‘Once in time’ is really an extravaganza of rich orchestral strings that cannot be expressed in words.
The sound of Fifth Essence is the sound of heaven and earth. Heavenly in it’s ethereal angelic voices and new age ambiance, and earthy in it’s rich symphonic strings and neoclassical influences. While Anaya is a talented composer whose intriguing and often unexpected chord changes and melodies caught my attention, I was most impressed with her heartfelt intention in creating beautiful music to inspire and uplift the spirit of the listener. In addition to the music, the album’s visionary cover art is gorgeous and inspirational as well.

Anaya’s interest in music began early in life for her, which is not surprising seeing that she came from a musical family in her native country of Brazil, which itself is rich in musical heritage. As she describes: “ My desire to learn the universal language of music emerged when I was 4 years old.” She began studying piano and guitar, going on to give recitals to friends and play in her school band, and eventually studying in a music conservatory. Interestingly, even as child, Anaya knew that she would be both a musician and a scholar.

Education has played a major role in Anaya’s life and the above-mentioned balance of the earthy and ethereal in her music is also reflected in the extensive range of her studies over the years. On the more concrete level, she has devoted 30 years of her life to academia earning undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a doctorate degree from Loughborough University of Technology in England and a post doctorate degree in Information Systems from Syracuse University in the United States. In the 1980s she moved to the capital of Brazil, Brasília, and began focusing more on managerial and academic activities. During that period she was the director of the Applied Social Studies department at the University of Brasilia. Anaya also did work in her field for the United Nations. The complete list of her achievements and positions in the academic world is too lengthy to mention here in detail.

At the other end of the spectrum, Anaya’s studies of the metaphysical and inner dimensions of life read like the table of contents for an encyclopedia of spiritual and holistic disciplines. Early in life she was introduced to Hinduism, Zen Buddhism, and particularly yoga, which she still practices today. As she evolved in this direction, she went on to study I Ching, Shiatsu, aromatherapy, kinesiology, Chinese medicine, Feng Shui, tarot, Kabbalah, astrology, and much more. As a Reiki master, Anaya has trained many therapists over the years, in addition to seeing private clients. She also did classical ballet for 30 years, was an Olympic gymnastic for 5 years, and is still doing a variety of martial arts and teaching Tai chi. While it may be hard to believe that one person could cover so much ground, the reality is that what I have listed is more of an introduction than a complete listing. With all of this going on in her life, there was a period where music was on the back burner, but she eventually came back to it. According to her bio: “In 1990 Anaya again dedicated herself to music, initially as a classical singer and then composing guitar music. Anaya has over 200 songs registered at the Rio de Janeiro School of Music. In 1995 she devoted herself to studying keyboard and using computer and sound technology. Her earlier experience in computer science made it an easy transition to accomplish. Anaya was finally able to bring together the senses and technology.” And in our interview she went on to say: “I always searched for a deep understanding of universal spirituality to create a union between technology and the senses. That became the heart of my work. Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.”

Which brings us to her current music release, Fifth Essence. The music on this album is intimately connected to an event that happened in Anaya’s life in the recent past which profoundly shook her world. In 2014, her long time husband and love of her life passed away. As many musicians do when experiencing intense emotion, she channeled it into her music as an expression of her innermost feelings. According to Anaya, “The song “The New Journey” is the first song I did in the day after my husband died last year.”

Generally, when I am writing about an album, I discuss the tracks in the order they appear in the album. While “The New Journey” appears later in the album, I will feature it first since it expresses an experience that some of the other songs flow from. One of the things I found most interesting about this piece was the intro. Although Anaya’s music is usually quite lush and multi-layered, this song begins with a solitary violin sound, and a bit of very subtle accompaniment in the background. The feeling I get from it, especially knowing the back-story, is that of being alone in the world. However, as the song evolves, she is joined by rich orchestration, as if to express: “You are not alone.” At over 12 minutes in length, it is by far the longest piece on the album, and expresses an intricate emotional odyssey in its duration.

And now, back to the beginning. The album’s first 5 tracks are part of a suite entitled “In love”. They are much shorter pieces and range from roughly a minute to two minutes each. In our interview, Anaya shared: “The song ‘In love’ is the song I did when joy and happiness came back to my life.” The first movement starts with Anaya’s wordless vocals layered and enhanced with reverb to create a celestial choir effect. Through the use of electronic keyboards, Anaya is able to add elaborate orchestration and symphonic emulations. Both classical and new age influences are evident in her style. The remaining 4 movements continue in this vein, as does the album in general which is composed primarily of orchestral string and choir arrangements, with a bit of flute and guitar.
But equally important as the “sound” of the album is the intention that Anaya has imbued the recording with.Anaya & keyboards Her years of dedication to spirituality and metaphysical study are as much of an instrument in creating this music as her keyboards and voice are. As she shared in our interview: “My path is to touch people’s soul through music as I connect to my own inner Being. I create music to elevate the human spirit… to fulfill a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity and balance. It has been an amazing journey of transcendence with and through musical arts. The magic of music and the profound feelings of love are a divine instrument of perfection to give re-birth to our soul. Music is the sound of Light.”

With this in mind, I would encourage the listener to not only listen “to” the music, but to listen “into” the music… to feel the vibration of Anaya’s intention for healing and spiritual attunement. Fifth Essence is not an album created for entertainment, but is more of a vehicle for meditation and inner awareness. To conclude, I’ll leave the final thought to Anaya who shares: “The magic of music is felt amidst the silence after the sound.”

This is a musical review by Justin Garcia:
So, you had a bad day at work. There was an accident on the highway. It took you twice as long to get home in the rush hour commute.Ok, so you finally make it home, you plop down on your coach. Now what? What do you do to relax? If it's a Jack and coke, that's fine; whatever does the trick. But try something healthier.Listen to Anaya's CD, Tedeum.Close your eyes and get soothed by the new age style that permeates the six tracks.Escape the corporate world (this is a great CD to bring in the office) and much like the Star Trekkers, get beamed to another planet. You will be transported to resplendent and rich fields of flowers.
Your mind will feel at ease on an out-of this-world landscape.
Babbling brooks will make you forget about the bills you have to pay and other mundane and petty tasks that sometimes overwhelm us.
Anaya is a Brazilian artist and an intelligent one at that. She was a Fullbright scholar from Syracuse University.
Her musical education began with piano at age eight, and then with guitar at age 13.
Her many years of music composition, arrangement, and production work translate well into Tedeum.Oh yeah, this is a great soundtrack for Yoga also.Relax.Leave this world for a while. When you come back from the Anaya experience, you'll be more prepared to tackle life's challenges.
