Anaya Music - New Album AONKI: News-Reviews

Anaya: Creating Music To Produce Love and Manifest Healing

By Irene Ross

Anyone who’s ever taken a yoga class is no stranger to spiritual music, but one conversation with Anaya is all it takes to really understand just how much music can elevate the human spirit.

That’s something few of us recognize. We contribute to the world by creating, and we find that palette by tapping into that gap between mind and heart. Our thoughts become actions. Life becomes the canvas.

Anaya is an award-winning Brazilian composer, keyboardist and vocalist who refers to her music as “Cosmic New Age.”

When she reflects on her music, she explains that It takes the listener through a spiritual and healing journey that is meant to put a smile on the soul. “My music fulfills a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity and balance,” she says, adding that, since childhood, she’s always had access to other dimensions. “ The difficult thing was to adapt and live here, so music has an instinctive role for me.”

Her latest album, Aonki: Gateway To Love

helped her get to that other dimension and connect with Carlos, her late husband. It is a collection of passionately stirring songs, both futuristic and traditional, with members of the Czech Philharmonic playing, in virtual model, in the background.

Like all of her music, Aonki: Gateway To Love is both comforting and energizing while combining orchestral new age, electronic and melodic trance influences and textures. When she writes, she first draws upon her spiritual side and enters into another world, that of musical vibration. She later incorporates her tech background, as a Digital Information Specialist, where she can align the most effective sounds with her spiritual concepts.

A multi-talented professional with a Post Doctorate degree in leadership and a PhD in Information Technologies, Anaya joins her expertise in computer science with a deep understanding of universal spirituality to create a union between technology and the senses.“Telepresence is already a reality in Quantum Physics and the virtual technology platforms. And music has a primordial role for me in this sense.”

“My music can make people go to their hearts and from there the love starts coming. It provides a deep contact with themselves while listening wherever they are.

She continued: “When my husband passed away I first felt as though I had vanished. I went to listen my own music and then started creating a song completely dedicated to him. I was creating and crying at same time,” she said.

Carlos, her beloved deceased husband

Music has one of the highest vibrations and here’s why: When you play an instrument, say, strumming a guitar, it makes objects vibrate. You have notes and they vary in frequency. The note itself doesn’t change, but the sound (pitch) will be different, based on the type of instrument used; for instance, the same note will sound one way on a violin, but another way on a flute.

To put it in perspective, 8Hz is considered to be the natural “beat” of the universe, with our brains operating anywhere from 14 Hz to 40Hz. Even though the notes are always the same, say, a C will always be a C, the sound (pitch) of that note will be different on various instruments. All the other objects in the room (including window shades) will also vibrate, so music’s vibration can reach as high as 440 Hz.

As a result, you vibrate, feel happy and heal. The power of music has always been recognized by the science community, starting with Einstein who often talked about the often close relationship between math, science and music. He said he sees his life in terms of music, and when a scientist says that, maybe we need to pay a little more attention. These days, more and more surgeons are using music to reduce anxiety and fear among their patients, and Anaya’s music is used by The American Health System hospitals.

How do you select music that raises your vibration and tone? Have you ever had a song give you a racing heart or a feeling of excitement and energy? That’s your vibration at work! Look for pitch, speed and words. Then start your own process of healing.

An album that could change your musical perspective forever

It’s rare to hear such beauty, created from the silence of genius, but within the realm of Anaya, that genius can be fulfilled and after the huge success of Eternity back in 2016, we are gifted something truly special in her latest offering called Aonki: Gateway of Love.

Aonki: Gateway of Love opens up a vast realm of lush music for us to enjoy and some incredibly empowering moments of grandeur as well, as on the opening track Laman Song, this is a superb choice to begin our journey, with a huge build up and crescendo, that leads us then back into the calming waters of a gentle keyboard.

Breath is up next and I have to be completely honest here, my breath was taken completely away with this composition. The symphony orchestras of both Brazil and Prague were used in the manifestation of this wondrous album and it shows. With its classical energies simmering, Breath has to be one of the most beautiful arrangements I have heard since Vaughn William’s Lark Ascending.

The energy builds again now as we move to a piece called Gate, strangely enough the music rapidly quietens and we’re left with a soft and gentle keyboard, it’s almost like the Gate has opened and thus revealed a land of beauty and peacefulness with which we can gaze upon. This is quite a remarkable offering and it seems to float from New Age to a roaring cinematic arrangement with ease.

Short form is the order of the day with the next one, and we now have before us Over the Clouds, the piano is the chief narrator before the orchestral elements arrive, and with such skill and sublime presence of thought, Anaya manifests a poignant piece of colourful music in just over one amazing minute.

The combination of classical and new age is really emphasised here as Anaya now gifts us the beautiful Because of You, which at just short of seven minutes is the longest track off the album. This piece seems to hover with a symphonic intent, almost like a summer afternoon in the woodlands of an ambient oasis on the edge of time itself. There is so much within this offering; you will need to revisit this piece over and again just to enjoy all the little nuances, hats off also to the Lute of Bernado Bittencourt in this composition.

There is a moment to savour now, as we have two tracks that combine the message of the Gateway to Love, Aonki Movement 1 and 2. Anaya’s sensitivity here shows itself in its true glory in this opus of emotion and love, the string sections and keyboards float with us on high and create a vast, almost infinite dimension of sound and tone for us to explore. Movement 2 is slightly more reflective in its construction and feel, but still buoys us up with its incredible flowing passages of grandeur.

Ah how beauty manifests itself on this next composition, it’s called Extase II, I have a few times in my life touched the hem of a moment of ecstasy, these halcyon moments that are all to infrequent. However on this piece, one can truly immerse themselves in the soundtrack of that moment, when perfection is envisioned, this full flowing musical narrative creates that feeling in a classic new age styled arrangement that will no doubt be a fan favourite.

The penultimate composition is the emotive and deeply honest Just for You. I found this track very moving, created with a sense of openness of a love that is not afraid to be rejected. The symbiosis between keyboards and strings here is so expressive that we can believe that this piece has been created just for us.

The last gift of love within music is called A Path to the Infinite. The artistic beauty of this track is like enjoying a boat ride down a river in a memory that has been created to last forever. This arrangement is stunning and reminded me a little of the composition style of classical composer Eric Whitacre. This is the best way ever to leave an album of simply outstanding natural beauty.

Aonki: Gateway of Love is going to be an album that will survive the annals of times rigour, this release has been crafted with such an openness of spirit and intent, it deserves to be applauded for the emotive genius it actually is, how we wish there would be more albums of this quality and style around. Anaya has brought Aonki: Gateway of Love into our world and this could well be a release that could change your musical perspective forever.

Steve Sheppard - Amazon (Apr 16, 2018)

Anaya Music passionately stirring songs Anaya Music – AONKI GATEWAY OF LOVE:  This Global Music Award winner was reviewed (very favorably) in our pages in issue # 165… her new project was done in “virtual mode” with members of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, from her studio in Brazil… as you listen to inspiring compositions like the 5:36 “Breath” (the samples aren’t live yet, as the album is in “Pre-sale” mode, releasing on 9 February, 2018, but the links should work within the next few weeks – or, just order your own copy from the Pre-sale), you will realize immediately why she has won awards… I’ve no doubt that she will win one for this tune as well… deeply moving and universal in scope… the string work is beyond compare.

The true POWER of her creative spirit is fully demonstrated in the wonderful video for the opening piece, “Laman Song“… watch it to get full exposure to her wonderful ability to help you reach (and pass on through) the “gateways” in your own life…

One of the most desirable states an artist can achieve is to elevate the human spirit, and there’s no doubt that Anaya does that on the 6:39 “Because of You“… a quiet, simple piece that fuses wonderful guitar together with highly inspiring strings… I listen to this one over and over again, and have no doubt you will as well.

If you’re looking for a song that will help you rise above the fray, you need look no further than the universally attractive strains of “Extase II“… one advisement… be sure to listen to this (at least for your first sitting) with headphones on… you will want to wrap your ears in the beauty that Anaya projects for your soul on this awesome piece of music.

Of the ten songs offered up, though, it is the 6:02 closer, “A Path to the Infinite“, that most deeply affected my spirit… there’s no question that it’s my favorite on the album, and I predict that the composition will be recommended for awards – and win!

I give Anaya a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, with an “EQ” (energy quotient) rating of 4.99 for this superb release.  Get more information and listen to her truly moving music at Anaya’s store page.           Rotcod Zzaj

Spotlight: Aonki by Anaya Music

Anaya is a Brazilian composer, keyboardist and vocalist who creates music devoted to elevating the human spirit. Her previous album, Eternity, was recorded with the Prague Symphony Orchestra, with her latest album, Aonki: Gateway of Love, mostly continuing along a similar path. Featuring musicians such as Fabianne Gotelipe on violin, Daniel Marques on viola and Priscila Jota on cello, the compositions are essentially characterized by gently sweeping ensembles of classical stringed instruments with keyboard textures woven throughout.

“Laman Song” opens somewhat dramatically with an orchestral motif that quickly comes to a swell. Immediately bringing-to-mind that of a ship sailing upon stormy seas, the listener is eventually seemingly led out of its path into calmer waters, as the rest of the composition playfully carries on for a bit with its rather peculiar melody of symphony and synthesizer. “Breath” follows next and is easily one of the loveliest pieces on the album. Characterized by celestial tones and subtly flickering textures that convey lots of illumination, the piece is led by a tender cello melody as it seemingly drifts along airily like a feather in the wind.

“Because of You” is another highlight that opens with a chorus of classical strings. Featuring a somewhat improvisational arrangement, Bernardo Bittencourt lends a touch of Baroque with a European lute instrument. The subsequent compositions “Aonki Mov I” and “Aonki Mov II” both reside almost squarely within neoclassical territory, with the latter piece featuring the accompaniment of The Brazilian Symphony Orchestra. Also notable is “Extase II”, which is briefly introduced by sounds of rushing water, as synthesized pan-pipes and celestial tones convey an innocent, magical quality that effectively brings-to-mind idyllic images of peaceful gardens and rivers.

“A Path to the Infinite” offers a caressingly warm conclusion to the album with an arrangement that sounds almost entirely comprised of stringed instruments, as the piece dances lightly about in a rather carefree manner that eventually ends on a radiant note.

One observation particularly worth noting about this album is that its melodies tend to be characterized by a superficially wandering nature, as opposed to being more descriptive of profoundly moving or memorable suites. Essentially, Aonki: Gateway of Love mostly relies on the strength of beautiful-sounding instruments that best-fittingly serve as conceptual aural collages – and will likely be most-appreciated among listeners within that defining capacity. ~Candice Michelle

Brazilian-born composer and vocalist, Anaya, has previously recorded several albums of new age music. Having long dreamed of recording alongside a live symphony orchestra, her dream eventually came to fruition on her latest album, titled Eternity, where she is joined by the lovely arrangements of the Prague Live Symphony Orchestra. Comprised of seven compositions spanning nearly thirty-three minutes, all but two pieces (“For Love” and “Once in Time”) were co-composed and arranged with Steve Salani. “Dharma” opens the album with a majestic orchestral arrangement of strings, woodwinds and brass instruments. Possessing a distinctively cinematic quality, the piece immediately brings to mind that of a fairytale movie. “New Skies” ensues with the sound of running water, perhaps from a stream or river, and is easily my favorite composition herein. Bearing subtle resemblances to the music of both Deuter and Kitaro, the piece is led by a stringed-instrument with a melody that possesses an East Asian flavor. Hazy piano droplets are interspersed among ethereal synthesized chords like balmy mists rising up from a spring, bringing images to mind of a beautifully serene Japanese garden. “Cosmos” follows next with a symphonic arrangement that unfolds in a procession-like manner, where it’s accompanied by the sound of a light snare, along with bells, chimes and tribal-esque percussion that builds towards the end. The next piece, “For Love”, is reminiscent of a romantic novel or period film, with its tenderly warm and sentimental quality. It is followed by the more fantasy-like “Love’s River”, which is introduced by a buoyant keyboard melody. A dreamily waltzing piece that dances and sways throughout, it mimics the motion of sailing along a river, while also bringing to mind that of watching a decades-old stage performance. Named for the living earth, “Gaia” follows with a blend of gently symphonic and environmental nature sounds that paint images of a paradisal landscape. Wrapping up the album is “Once in Time”, a sweepingly cinematic composition led by a full orchestra of string and brass instruments that eventually swell to a close. While this album is based upon a theme of cosmic spirituality, it should be noted that the compositions herein are neither descriptive of meditation or space music. Rather, this is definitive new age neoclassical music that conveys images of epically visual and emotional scenes, as if musically narrating a movie. A simply delightful recording that will likely appeal to many fans of both new age and neoclassical music, Eternity is wrapped in the glowing of essence of beauty, peace and positivity!

Around this time a year ago I had the experience of listening to Anaya Music and providing coverage of Eternity.  It was an uplifting experience and a memorable listen as I recall.

Now with February drawing closer AONKI – Gateway of Love (Cosmic New Age Music) will arrive.

Once again, the recording features several exceptional collaborations between Anaya Music and a live virtual symphony orchestra recorded in the heart of Prague, the capital of the Czech republic. The orchestra combines members of the finest
ensembles in Prague, including the Czech Philharmonic.

I think they should rename the orchestra to “The Live Spiritual Orchestra.” If you have been exposed to Anaya Music you will understand what that means. If this is your first journey with this music you will find out very quickly. Either way, this is spiritually uplifting music that leaves a smile on your soul. It’s like the term digital footprint, there is an everlasting musical imprint left on your being.

If instrumental classical music with a definitive new age influence is something you desire, then your ship has come in. You just need to get ready to sail away with it. The combination of all the fine orchestra musicians with electronic sounds and synthesizers blended for textures, colors and moods is excellent. It is all very soothing and natural in relation to stimulus I respond to (and hopefully the perspective listeners). Whether it is emotional or aural senses, this music can and will move you in some way.

Anaya is like a female Yanni of sorts.  I can imagine this woman on stage surrounded by an orchestra and several keyboards to present her musical talents. Based on the information I have gleaned, Anaya is a very spiritually driven individual that desires to bring love and positive vibrations through her music. By all accounts she has been a great success. I certainly have felt blessed to have the opportunity to hear this music before it is released and then give some input as to what my experiences have been.

This project is a great success in my assessment in regards to quality, emotion and focus. I found all three of those qualities abundant on this release. So, Anaya Music gets an A+ (or 5/5 stars) for this excellent effort. It is pleasure to be a part of the growth and continual expressions of musical artists year after year. I look at it as another gift from a very talented individual.

5/5 Stars

"Aonki - Gateway of Love" is the follow-up to Anaya Music’s 2016 release, "Eternity," which was nominated for Best Album in the Neo-Classical category by Zone Music Reporter. Although "Aonki" was released just a few weeks ago, it is already being honored with world-wide recognition and has been nominated for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album (2017) by One World Music Radio. Subtitled “Cosmic New Age Music,” this is Anaya Music’s second virtual collaboration and real-time recording in cyberspace between her label in Brazil, a live symphony orchestra in Prague (The Czech Republic), and Orchestra.net in Los Angeles. Anaya Music plays keyboards and guitars on all of the songs. She also composed, arranged and produced all of the music except for “Breath,” which was arranged and produced by Anaya Music and Steve Salani.

"Aonki" is the name of the Gateway of Love and came to Anaya in meditation as the driving force and guiding light for the journey of the recording. The album reflects Anaya’s belief that 2018 is a “gateway year for overcoming differences and going to the Divine aspect of life, both individually and collectively.” The warm and optimistic tone of the music is inviting and welcoming, encompassing a variety of music genres and styles. Strings are very present in all of the pieces, creating a more classical feeling despite the ambient textures and often free-form structure.

The album opens with “Laman Song,” a piece that begins like the energetic soundtrack to an adventure film, but quickly transforms into a much mellower and more peaceful mode about 30 seconds into the piece. Guitars, flutes, voices, strings, and other instruments seem to be playing several different pieces at the same time in places, but then the strings come in as a single voice at the very end, perhaps as a call to love or unification. “Breath” is much gentler and more melodic as a cello becomes the lead voice as other instruments shimmer around it. “Gate” starts with an energetic keyboard motif, followed by a solo horn with string washes behind it. The full orchestra enters for the last section of the piece, which is my favorite on the album. “Aonki Mov I” and “Aonki Mov II” comprise a two-movement suite. “Mov I” is light and very ambient with strings and woodwinds creating a soothing and peaceful atmosphere. “Mov II” is somewhat darker and more poignant while maintaining a dreamy, tranquil state. The last three tracks, “Extase II,” “Just for you,” and “A Path to the Infinite” are ambient orchestral works that are vibrant, yet very peaceful, allowing the listener to step into a world where all is well - even if only for a short time.

Anaya Music has become a very strong voice in new age music. "Aonki - Gateway of Love" will show you why.

AONKI: Gateway of Love stirs the soul with passionate melodies that awaken us to our heart's song; releasing just in time for Valentine's Day gifting.

Award-winning Brazilian musician, Anaya, expresses otherworldly vision and spirituality in unique orchestral new age music with electronic trance influences.

I make music to fulfill a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity and balance...Music is the sound of Light. Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.”
— Anaya

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, February 9, 2018 - Following an extraordinary year for her epic album, Eternity, world-renowned Brazilian composer/producer Anaya returns with her most transcendent album ever, Aonki: Gateway of Love, releasing today in both digital and physical formats, at Amazon, iTunes, and quality stores everywhere. The "cosmic new age music" album has taken off, winning both Clouzine's Best New Age Album Award, and the Global Music Awards' “Outstanding Achievement Award" for the single "Laman Song." The album was also included in a Huffington Post feature article titled "Heartful of Love."

To connect with her North American fanbase, Anaya is scheduled to introduce the new music and discuss her enchanting cosmic love story in a LIVE Instagram video interview with Beth Ann Hilton of The B Company on Valentine's Day, February 14th at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Over the course of her musical career, Anaya has captured the soothing and energizing essence of the music of her native country, while forging a dynamic synthesis of orchestral new age, electronic and melodic trance influences and textures. Anaya’s latest collection, the mysteriously titled Aonki: Gateway of Love, is a powerful, sweeping work that marks her second virtual collaboration and real-time recording in cyberspace between the artist’s label AnayaMusic in Brazil at Studio 1234, a live symphony orchestra in Prague (featuring members of the Czech Philharmonic) and Orchestra.Net in Los Angeles; the team also worked together on Eternity.

When she’s composing, Anaya calls on her spiritual side, and "retires" from this world to enter a realm of musical vibration; yet when production begins, she draws on her tech background as a Digital Information Specialist, analyzing the most effective sounds to convey her spiritual concepts. Reflecting on her personal inspiration and creative process, Anaya shares “I make music to fulfill a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity and balance. The magic of music and the profound feelings of love are a divine instrument of perfection to give re-birth to our soul. Music is the sound of Light. Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.”

In listening to this album, one is carried away on a journey of both futuristic and traditional sounds. Reviews from Contemporary Fusion and New Age Music Reviews are stellar, with the latter noting, "Anaya is like a female Yanni of sorts. I can imagine this woman on stage surrounded by an orchestra and several keyboards to present her musical talents." For lifestyle blog BEING: Sights, Sounds & Conscious Living, music writer Jonathan Widran wrote in an extensive review, "Reflective of its title, 'Aonki' is the name of the Gateway of Love and it came to Anaya in meditation as the driving force and guiding light for the journey of the recording. It reflects her belief that 2018 is a gateway year for overcoming differences and going to the Divine aspect of life, both individually and collectively. 'Laman Song' opens with a fast-paced film score like energy, then gives way to a gentle flute reflection before several competing musical paths emerge and dial down to a soulful keyboard-induced hypnosis with subtle orchestral harmonies," the review closing with commentary on "A Path to the Infinite" calling it "another all-orchestral mood piece that bathes the listener in a rich ambiance full of love and the brightness of eternity."

The Aonki CD arrives in a brightly-colored digipak, with romantic artwork evoking thoughts of the Girl from Ipanema. Love is surely the mood here. As the liner notes say, “Anaya’s musical invitation to experience the Gateway of Love stirs the soul with passionate melodies of timeless inspiration to awaken our heart’s song.”

Aonki: Gateway of Love marks yet another powerful milestone on Anaya’s journey of creating innovative, life-changing, heart transforming and consciousness shifting cosmic new age music. Transcending challenges in her own life through the embodiment of compassion, gratitude and pure joy, poured into the art of creating her music, she says, “To be faced with hardships becomes a way of life, but to transcend the barriers of our experience through love, awareness, creativity, and inner peace is a way of being. The Gateway of Love is a path to enlightenment, a felt sense of oneness with awareness itself.”

All of Anaya's music is available at quality online music sites, as well as in mainstream and specialty music stores; physical distribution is serviced by CPI Distribution and New Leaf Distribution. One can listen and link to buy music from Anayamusic.com.

Music Review

AONKI by Anaya Music
Capping an extraordinary year for her epic 2016 album Eternity with a ZMR nomination for Best Neo-Classical Album, world-renowned Brazilian composer/producer Anaya reflected on her inspiration and creative process. She said, “I make music to fulfill a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity and balance. The magic of music and the profound feelings of love are a divine instrument of perfection to give re-birth to our soul. Music is the sound of Light. Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.”
Over the course of her career - which includes her earlier works EternityFifth EssenceDevotion (2014), and Aligned in the Universe (2013) - her music has captured the soothing, energizing and transcendent essence of the music of her native country, while forging a dynamic synthesis of orchestral new age, electronic and melodic trance influences and textures. 2017 included even more award recognition from the Global Music Awards for her composition of the song "Dharma."

Anaya Music of Brazil releases new album, AONKI

Anaya’s latest collection, the mysteriously titled Aonki: Gateway of Love, is a powerful, sweeping work that marks her second virtual collaboration and real-time recording in cyberspace between the artist’s label AnayaMusic in Brazil at Studio 1234, a live symphony orchestra in Prague (featuring members of the Czech Philharmonic) and Orchestra.Net in Los Angeles. When she’s composing, Anaya retires from this world and enters a realm of music vibration; yet when production begins, she draws on her background as a Digital Information Specialist analyzes the most effective sounds to best convey her spiritual concepts.
Reflective of its title, Aonki is the name of the Gateway of Love and it came to Anaya in meditation as the driving force and guiding light for the journey of the recording. As a whole, it reflects her belief that 2018 is a gateway year for overcoming differences and going to the Divine aspect of life, both individually and collectively. With its wild melody and fresh rhythmic twists and turns, the opening track reflects her optimism, tempered with the reality of step-by-step progress that such ambitious goals demand. “Laman Song” opens with a fast-paced film score like energy, then gives way to a gentle flute reflection before several competing musical paths emerge and dial down to a soulful keyboard-induced hypnosis with subtle orchestral harmonies.
“Breath,” which features musicians from OrchestraNet, weaves its profound magic like a gentle classical piece, with the stark melody of a lone violin crying out amidst the ambiance, as if for justice. The violin departs and the spacey ambiance dominates leading into a meditative state, as the solo voices of several other instruments (including a horn) pick up the mission. This leads us to the “Gate,” which begins with a sweeping orchestra and booming percussion before easing into more mystical, less linear realms. There is a moment of shift towards the end where the orchestra rises up more tunefully and, with a burst of sunlit percussion, shares hope for a brighter day. But first, of course, there are some dramatic steps to be taken, as per the dark chords beneath the soaring intentions at the start of the brief interlude “Over the Clouds.”
We enter the heart of Aonki on “Because of You,” a dream-like reflection that taps into romance and hope with the orchestra caressing a lone violin, then opens up towards an exciting showcase for Bernardo Bittencourt’s plucky lute. It plays a tense duet with the violin before emerging with a stark but resolute solo. Light and courage have won over the troubling obstacles. The dark chamber music clouds come back briefly, but the line is cast towards a brighter day. Like an homage to classical movements, the title centerpiece of the album comes in a two-part suite, “Aonki Mov 1” and “Aonki Mov II.” The first track is pure symphonic light, an intensely beautiful movement towards peace and harmony, with brief moments of individual horn cries. The second movement features high toned violins atop darker, atonal edges. There is more drama, less harmony, more rhythmic shift and dynamics in search of the elusive but attainable beauty. This piece features the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and featured solos by violinists Ivan Quintana and Fabianne Gotelipe, viola player Daniel Marques and cellist Priscilla Jota.
The last third of Aonki launches with “Extase II,” infused with a wash of spacey synthesizers and trippy percussion textures that help connect us with higher mystical sources. The ecstasy of this outreach includes an immersion into deeper “waters,” with hopeful chimes and flute notes rising above the deep atmospheres. “Just For You” is a purely orchestral piece, full of highs and lows, stops and starts – but underscored with a rich sense of melody and harmony which indicate that the end of the journey will bring light and love. This gives way to the final piece, another all-orchestral mood piece that bathes the listener in a rich ambiance full of love and the brightness of eternity.
The Aonki CD arrives in a brightly-colored digipak, with romantic artwork evoking thoughts of the Girl from Ipanema. Love is surely the mood here. As her liner notes say, “Anaya’s musical invitation to experience the Gateway of Love stirs the soul with passionate melodies of timeless inspiration to awaken our heart’s song.” Aonki marks yet another powerful milestone on Anaya’s journey of creating innovative, life-changing, heart transforming and consciousness shifting cosmic new age music. Her remarkable artistry is always full of a type of musical and harmonic magic that can be appreciated on a purely visceral, emotional level and in spiritual ways that no words can adequately capture.

In addition, the tracks “New Skies” and “Dharma” have earned approximately 1M views on Facebook, and Pandora’s Anaya Music station has increased its listenership significantly.

Eternity also received a great deal of critical acclaim. New Age music writer Michael Diamond shared, “While I have heard and enjoyed Anaya’s previous keyboard-based albums, her new release, Eternity, in collaboration with a live symphony orchestra, brings out the richness and dimension of her stirring compositions, taking her music to another level altogether. Anaya’s desire to elevate the human spirit is deeply felt in every note of this inspired recording.”

Speaking of her inspiration and process, Anaya says, “I make music to fulfill a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity and balance. It has been an amazing journey of transcendence with and through musical arts. The magic of music and the profound feelings of love are a divine instrument of perfection to give re-birth to our soul. Music is the sound of Light. Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.”

Over the course of her career, which includes the more recent projects Devotion (2014) and Aligned in the Universe (2013), Anaya has passionately expressed her spirituality and the influence of her cultural roots through music, art and poetry. Her style captures the soothing, inspiring and energizing essence of Brazilian music, delivering a dynamic synthesis of new age, electronic and melodic trance influences and textures. She began creating her spirit/mind/heart based masterworks to facilitate relaxation and meditation, and is emerging as a timeless composer devoted to elevating the human spirit through music.

An absolute must for your collection.  Sometimes it’s really nice to be taken away to a far off land of beauty peace and tranquillity, and through this wonderful album by Anaya we can do just that. This is one of those stunning albums that are as rare as rain in Cyprus!

We start with a complete flourish on the opening piece called Dharma, using the talents and skills of the Prague Symphony Orchestra we are gifted a composition that in parts reminded me in style, of the great composer Ralph Vaughn Williams and The Lark Ascending. The string section really emphasised that mood for me, but the piece overall was so beautiful, it made the perfect start to the release.

Natural sounds of water start the next piece called New Skies and the tremulous sounds of the strings create a real vista of wonderment for us. Anaya as a keyboardist is outstanding, but combing her skills with the orchestra has brought us something truly magnificent. This trembling opus of a fresh new sky is vast, and gives us the listener plenty of room to explore the music in.

Eternity is a real fresh and picturesque album of great quality, just listen to Cosmos, and I am sure you will agree, this is one very striking arrangement, there is a slight quality of mournfulness, but that aged sound, manifests an expansive backdrop of musical genius for us to wander in. The percussion also adds a little flavour here as well.

For Love is up next, and a deep sense of true passion can be felt here. Love, one of the hardest of all emotions to deal with, is explored in a sublime and charming manner by Anaya, through the tones of this track, one can really feel the tenderness that went into creating this composition, the strings here really come into their own, and with the artists flowing talents, manifests for us something unconditionally beautiful.

The shortest piece off the album, at just less than three minutes long, is the keyboard based track Loves River. This for me is one of the cleverest compositions on the release, the strings, bass and keyboards almost place us on a boat trip of love down a river, in its movement and structure, I have a feeling that this maybe one of those tracks that you will not be able to resist playing again and again and again dear reader.

The longest offering on Anaya’s new album Eternity, at well over six and a half minutes, is our dear mother Gaia. I found this, our penultimate composition, very deeply moving and emotional, the floating keyboards and heart rendering string sections were so very moving. Anaya has also built in a little space feel to the track, as well as combining it with the sounds of birds, which gives us the eager listener, the overall feel of our planet in its entirety, our dear Gaia, our mother. Here is a track that just about delivers all aspects of mother earth to us, in a melodious opus of supreme quality. The orchestra and Anaya’s ability to create a musical symbiosis here is simply divine.

So we finish with the lavish and sweeping mood of the final piece called, Once in Time, when I first heard this I was reminded of the sound track work that composer Michael Hoppe creates. Anaya has left her best to last, and this is a composition that fashions magic, constructs a whole new musical dimension, and has been crafted with such a level of care and attention to detail, whilst retaining and cultivating that little childlike enchantment within us all.

Eternity is one of those albums that I would class as simply beautiful, the emotional intensity is there, all of the compositions have all been lovingly manifested for us to enjoy, and the added structure of the Symphony Orchestra of Prague, was a stroke of pure genius that has finally brought into our lives, one of the most professional and captivating releases I have heard for a long time, this is an absolute must for your collection.

My plans-
developments and successes. What motivates me to continue bringing my music to the world is to elevate human spirit through music and beauty and to touch the human heart.

My last album ‘Eternity’ has been received by everyone with great appreciation and received wonderful reviews, airplay and a top ten chart position at ZMR. I am very grateful and I thank you all for your support!

I have plans for 2017 and 2018 to have my music performed in the USA by various Symphony Orchestras and I will keep you posted on the development of these concerts.

Technology Meets Classical-New Age

Anaya Music and the latest release titled Eternity is all about collaboration. Anaya Music is Anaya, Tania Mara Botelho, Steve Salani and members of the Prague Symphony Orchestra.

I am one of the first to admit you cannot match the experience of being at a concert as to sitting and listening to CD. There are instances in my listening experiences inside the confines of my home that have elevated my spirit and given me positive energy and hope. Eternity turns out to be one of those instances. The parts from the orchestra are live however, so we get the best of both worlds. This is where technology and live off the floor music collide to explode into sights and sounds that will stir your soul.

What I found interesting was how the use of technology made this project come together. Over the oceans these artists added their parts and eventually it became a whole. With the help of many talented people and the sum of its parts scattered about the globe coming together through the advances of communication and modern recording, this became a musical entity. It truly is amazing how all of that works. It is even more of a celebration when it all meets to make the most beautiful and picturesque sounds and colors arriving through your speakers.

Anaya ends the liner notes by saying “Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.” That one thought and the vibrations it creates is the perfect lead in to this cinematic recording. The soundscapes shaped and molded are things of beauty and grace that can take your spirit to a higher plain. I do believe that is the intent of music like this. Enlightened spirits leading others down the path of light and love…it works well if you allow the music to transport you as the pressures of the world melt away.

The entire listening experience was so enjoyable and uplifting that I felt disappointed that it ended and it seemed to end much too soon. From where I sit that is the highest compliment I can pay to any artist.

Eternity is a blessing to all that will hear it so make sure you give it a few spins and find what I found inside the music.
Eternity álbum with artist profile, Álbum show and audio review by Steve and Chrissie from OneWorldMusic the greatest radio station across Europe.
Eternity by AnayaMusic is the number #1 for December chart in the OneWorldMusic from UK and many other countries. The OWM is the biggest radio statin rght accross Europe, including many prizes for artist achevement.
While I have enjoyed Anaya’s previous keyboard-based albums, her new release, Eternity, in collaboration with a live symphony orchestra, brings out the richness and dimension of her stirring compositions, taking the music to another level all together. Anaya’s desire to elevate the human spirit is deeply felt in every note of this inspired recording.
In writing about Anaya’s last release, Fifth Essence, I shared a lot about her fascinating background in both music and academia, so readers who may be interested can refer to that feature article for details. But briefly, music has been an important part of Anaya’s life from an early age in her native Brazil, a country known for its music. Her interest in piano, keyboards, guitar, and singing has been a thread that has woven through Anaya’s life, although her focus has often shifted between this and academic pursuits where she went on to earn doctoral and post-doctoral degrees in Information Studies. She also was the director of the Applied Social Studies department at the University of Brasilia and did work in her field for the United Nations.
These brief highlights barely scratch the surface of Anaya’s accomplishments. However her education also extends beyond the traditional into an extensive list of holistic health and metaphysical studies, which have in turn, played an important role in the healing direction her music has taken over the years. Reading a full account of her impressive and diverse career reveals an incredibly well rounded person with a passion for life, learning, and a desire to help others.
Anaya brings a universal and deeply spiritual perspective to her music, which she sees as a vehicle for healing and awakening consciousness; to fulfill a collective yearning shared by humanity for harmony, unity, and balance. In relation to her album, Eternity, she shares: “The essence of Love is Eternity. Love transcends time. Beyond memories of a beginning and fear of an end, our immortal soul symbolizes love and Eternal life. Music becomes a gateway to the realization and integration of our deepest feelings of love, grief, fear, joy, and peace. Our best instrument is the universal harmony of being.” Anaya sees music as a global language, and as she shared in our interview: “I always search for the Sound that resonates with my soul. Music permeates the universe and integrates my world.”
While she has many albums to her credit, Anaya’s lifelong dream has been to record with a symphony orchestra. On Eternity, that dream has finally become a reality. To quote from her liner notes: “This unique production features a virtual collaboration and real time recording in cyberspace between Anaya in Brazil, a live symphony orchestra in Prague, and Steve Salani at Orchestra.net Studios in Los Angeles. The symphony orchestra combines members of the finest ensembles in Prague, including the Czech Philharmonic.” This is indeed a unique production that utilizes the latest in interactive technology in a way that would have been inconceivable not that long ago.

The opening track is entitled “Dharma,” a word derived from Eastern religion that means something along the lines of “adherence to Divine law or cosmic order.” This is quite appropriate in that Anaya is truly following her dharma in the heavenly uplifting music she creates and shares with the world. The piece begins with a sweet violin playing over a string section with a neo-classical feel. As it evolves, the sound of harp and flute add a celestial ambiance. There is a heartfelt warmth to the composition that makes for wonderful welcome into Anaya’s musical world.
The soothing sound of a babbling brook paired with subtle strings carries the listener along in its flow on track 2, “New Skies.” In the new age genre, I’m so used to synthesizers emulating the sound of strings and orchestral sounds, I had to remind myself that I was actually hearing the real thing, and not electronic instruments. In trying to describe the first half of track 3, “Cosmos,” the thought that come to mind is that the music creates a feeling of being held in the embrace of a loved one. It seems to envelop you, providing a sense of comfort and peace. About half way through, the sound of orchestral bells, percussion, and woodwinds add to the strings with a feeling of awakening like a warm Spring day with the earth thawing out and coming back to life.
On track 5, “Love’s River,” as on many of Anaya’s previous albums, the piano plays a primary role in creating the melody against a subtly symphonic background. In a tribute to the spirit of the Earth, a track called “Gaia” reflects a contrast between sounds that are ethereal and those that are more terrestrial, including chirping birds and natural elements, perhaps integrating the energies of Mother Earth and Father Sky. The album draws to a conclusion with a grand composition entitled “Once in Time.” Like time itself, the piece has an expansive quality that flows along, adding a sense of drama as it unfolds.
One word that came up for me many times while listening and thinking of how best to describe this music is “cinematic.” I could easily imagine any track on this album as being a film score. While that may evoke images of grandiose music, one of the things that I most appreciated about this recording is that the orchestra was often quite subtle, while being exquisitely expressive in its understatement. Another aspect that stood out to me in Anaya’s music is the sense of warmth and loving heart energy that comes through in every song. This is not something that can just be added to a composition like an ingredient in a recipe, but is a genuine quality that flows from the being of the composer and their attunement to the source of that love. This is certainly one of her strong points, both as a musician and a person. In this regard, I will leave the final words to Anaya as she describes, what in essence, is her dharma: “My path is to touch people’s soul through music as I connect to my own inner Being. It has been an amazing journey of transcendence with and through musical arts. The magic of music and the profound feelings of love are a divine instrument of perfection to give re-birth to our soul.”

Melodies of the soul!

Anaya weaves musical dreams with her wonderful productions and her latest album reinforces her power over the listener’s minds :-). Opening with “Dharma”, I knew I was in for an aural treat. I loved the violin’s performance in this, it’s delicate and played with such wonderful restraint. “New Skies” with its lovely ambient sounds sets the mood for deep meditation….the sounds of flowing water are eternally peaceful :-). “Cosmos” is a deep and hauntingly beautiful track ; the Creation is as one with this mellow and extremely well-composed track. The elements of percussion are delicately balanced with the other instruments to create a mural of lovely pastel shades. “Love’s River” is a smoothly-flowing track with the an gentle, sweet melody. The flute, cello and the strings with piano creates a web of wonderful sounds that lulls the mind to a sense of supreme well-being. I adored this track :-). “Once in Time” is a sweeping, majestic track with a brilliant string section and an almost sound-track like feel to it. I could imagine high, soaring mountains in this one! This album is to be heard many times to explore all its nuances and complexities, as I’m sure to be doing :-) :-) :-)

"Dear Anaya
"Having enjoyed Anaya's work in recent years on albums like "Aligned in the Universe", "Devotion" and then on "Fifth Essence", it is nice to enjoy her latest creation "Eternity", where she has explored new ground and created something rather special. Musically, unlike any of her earlier work. A beautiful collaboration of Anaya in Brazil, the symphony in Prague and Steve Salani in Los Angeles, with the the symphony orchestra comprising members from the finest ensembles in Prague. This sure comes across beautifully in the music. With superb orchestration and nice arrangements, Anaya's music is beautiful, coming from place of peace. She states it has been a dream come true. I am happy with the beautiful music this dreams has give us" - Arun Shenoy, GRAMMY nominated Producer and Composer.
